Took the short cut again.

Took the short cut again today to go to the store. I have done this a thousand times over my 30 years in Atlanta. It lets me.....just for a few minutes.....feel like I am up in the mountains somewhere.

I did notice that more clearing has been done on the Beltline and I was better able to get a closer look at my new obsession...that sifting thing.

The construction is very basic, almost primitive. I don't think it was used for much because it could not withstand much weight. There is a small opening at the bottom which is about waist high off the ground. Have no idea.

And the strangest thing is this old chair that looks like it has been there forever, sits right next to the "sifter".
Anyone else notice this? Anyone know anything about this? Very odd.

That strange tower thing

Today the city was doing more work on the Beltline and that tall rusted thing I have been looking at for years is now easier to see.

I still think it is some sort of basic sifting device. Not sure how it was used. Pretty basic and tall. Not sure how people got stuff up in it.

The train tracks have been here for so long. Must have something to do with something that was put in the containers on the train.
