Hard to believe today is March 1. The year is flying by.
I have still not been able to get with Betty Jean (BJ) Butler. I did talk with Alice Linn again and she said that BJ is slowly regaining strength after a long illness and is not in the best of health. Once she feels better we will be able to meet and talk.
However, I was given a new name by Alice from BJ...a Clara McLendon. Apparently Clara was Louise's best friend here in Atlanta and also a long time friend of Mel's. Alice forwarded Clara my email address last week. That is very exciting as Louise was only in Atlanta for a short time. Maybe Clara can give more insight into the life of Louise.
Hope to receive an email from her in the coming weeks. Until then everything seems to be put on hold.
I will try to spend some time in the neighborhood drumming up more information. Not many long term residents there from 45 years ago.
